About Police Inspire

Police Inspire helps you to pass your Sergeants or Inspectors NPPF Step 2, NIE or IPLDP Police Legal Exam with confidence

Our History

Police Inspire has taken Advance Training’s proven question and answer database and repurposed it for the 2020s.

David Anson wrote the first ever commercially-available multiple-choice question and answer package for the forerunner to the NPPF Step 2 – the OSPRE Part 1 exam. He launched Advance Training in 1996 and over the next 20+ years successfully trained many tens of thousands of police officers on their home computers and across more than half the forces in England and Wales.

Advance Training (often referred to as “ADV” because of its web address adv.co.uk) produced the Computerised Study Kit which developed in line with the changing computer landscape. From initially just working on Windows computers, the Kit would eventually work on Apple Macs in addition to apps for phones and tablets.

The next logical step was to take ADV’s proven questions and answer database and make it entirely web-enabled. Such a significant change also resulted in a new name and Police Inspire was born incorporating all the modern features you would expect from a learning system including social features, cross-platform support and study groups.

Police Inspire is now the way to pass your Sergeants’ or Inspectors’ NPPF Step 2, NIE or IPLDP Legal Exam.
