Subscriptions

Subscriptions are fixed in length and are not tied to the examination dates. Therefore, your subscription will continue for the period you selected.

We encourage candidates to subscribe well in advance of their exam, allowing the maximum amount of revision and learning time. You’ll also get the most value from your subscription!

We hope in future to provide additional content that will help you succeed after your exam, such as promotion guidance.

Our Study Platform is crafted to help you succeed at your Police promotion exam, and in order to have the best chances of success you’ll need to study and learn the relevant syllabus over time. We therefore offer fixed length subscriptions.

Our 12-month subscriptions are particularly great value for money, and we hope to encourage candidates to sign-up well in advance of their exams and make the most of their study time.

We will extend your subscription, free of charge, where it was originally due to expire after the exam, but due to a change in the exam date(s) it has or will expire before the new exam date(s).

Our promise means you don’t need to worry about delays or problems with the exam – after all, you have enough to worry about!

Yes, you can subscribe to multiple Study Platforms at the same time.

If you are planning on studying for your NPPF exam and NIE exam at the same time, please get in touch with us and we’ll be able to arrange a discount for your combination NIE subscription.

Our subscriptions do not automatically renew, they are fixed term subscriptions. Therefore, you will only be charged for the length of time you select when choosing our pay monthly subscriptions.

Our one-time payment subscriptions are the same, you will not be charged again at the end of the subscription period.

Study Platform

General

Police Inspire requires an active internet connection to work.

We’ve worked hard to ensure the platform is fast and efficient, so you don’t need the most expensive connection out there. It will work on mobile and whilst roaming, but you do need a data connection over 3G or better.

Police Inspire can be accessed from any device with an internet connection and a web browser. This includes laptops, mobile phones, games consoles and TVs (although we recommend using it on a computer or mobile for the best experience).

Your progress is saved to the platform, regardless of how you access it, and therefore will always be in sync.

We would love to say yes, but that’s impossible!

Subscribing to Police Inspire provides you with material that will help you succeed, but ultimately, you need to work hard and put in the time.

Questions & Answers

The total amount of questions available for each subscription is shown on the product information page.

Select a product from our subscribe page to find out more.

Our questions are continually updated to reflect the latest syllabus from the College of Policing and changes in law. You don’t need to do anything to receive updates, we sort all of that for you and the questions magically appear!

Each year the latest copy of the Blackstone’s Manuals is released, and we update the questions and organise them according to the new syllabus following its publication. Where law is changed or precidents set before the manuals are published, we will strive to update the questions to reflect this but the material will not be examined until published in the Blackstones Manuals.

Our subscriptions are not tied to a particular syllabus year, and as such your subscription will automatically switch to the new syllabus when it is released. This only occurs after all the current syllabus exams have been sat.

Therefore, you could subscribe in June for a year, starting on the current Blackstone’s Manuals, before moving to the new manuals when they are published in August (but obviously not instantly, we need to make the changes first!)

Yes, our questions are organised into the relevant Blackstones chapters and sections. This allows you to reference the questions to the official manuals to research further or gain a deeper understanding of the law.

For example a category may be: Crime – 1.5 Homicide – 1.5.2 Murder

Our questions first helped candidates pass their exams in 1996. Back then, Police Inspire was known as Advance Training and was the first computerised study kit for promotion exams (don’t worry though, we’ve updated the questions as the law changed and the syllabus content evolved).

The questions have consistently received positive feedback and helped candidates to achieve pass rates in excess of twice the national average.

Advice & Guidance

We recommend that you study with the official Blackstone’s Manuals, alongside our Study Platform.

The Advice & Guidance covers many areas, but it is not a comprehensive collection of learning materials to cover the full syllabus area. It complements the manuals and helps you to get the most out of your study time.

We do not include a copy of the Blackstone’s Manuals with a subscription.

Study Community

You don’t have to take part in the community, participating in discussions and activity is entirely optional. You can also choose what information is visible to others with privacy controls.
